Volunteer

Develop a deeper relationship with your community and Toronto’s history! Expand your skills, and make new connections by volunteering with Toronto’s First Post Office.

Our volunteer program is a tailored experience. We meet with applicants to discuss how your experience, interests, and skills will best fit with the museum’s needs.

In the past, our volunteers have supported the museum’s activities in many ways. They’ve helped to host or prepare for special events and programming. They’ve worked with the collection, transcribing letters, preparing objects for photography and digitization. They’ve offered specialized technical help, made crafts for the gift shop, shepherded walking tours, and welcomed visitors to the museum.

Whether you’re available for a short time, for a special project, or would like to be on our “call list” for the occasional event, please fill out an application and we’ll be in touch to set-up a volunteer interview.
