Mail Matters: Drawing Contest

Calling all artists between the ages of 4-12! We want to see your artistic flare!

Show us in a piece of art how mail can bring people closer together.

The winning artwork will be featured on a limited edition run of Canadian postage stamps, to be sold exclusively at Toronto’s First Post Office, and will be featured in an upcoming issue of the Town of York Historical Society’s newsletter. The winner will also receive a commemorative sheet of 26 stamps for their own use.

How to enter

STEP 1: Through a visual piece of art, show us how mail brings people closer together. You can use any medium you like. We want your drawing to be unique, so use your imagination!

STEP 2: Submit your art by filling out the accompanying form. Don't forget to tell us how mail brings people closer together.

Rules

Entrants must be between the ages of 4-12.

Entrants must be a resident of Canada.

Art must measure 8.5 x 11 inches (both horizontal or vertical orientation accepted).

Submission Deadline

11:59PM on March 15, 2022.

Prizes

The winning artwork will be featured on a limited-edition run of Canadian postage stamps, to be sold exclusively at Toronto’s First Post Office, and will be featured in the April, 2022 edition of the Town of York Historical Society newsletter, as well as @TOs1stPO on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. The winner will also receive a commemorative sheet of 26 stamps for their own correspondence. These are real stamps that you can use to send a letter to anyone They will also be featured in the April issue of the Town of York Historical Society's Newsletter.
